Algonquin Winter Tracking Expedition 2009

Sunday (Day 1)

The week begins Sunday at noon with a trip to the Algonquin Park Visitor Centre for an orientation and introduction to the Park.

There are always plenty of birds at the feeders out back. Here is a Pine Grosbeak.
There was a Pine Marten out there as well, taking advantage of all the spilled bird food.
After this we went up to the Opeongo Road and found some Wolf tracks which we followed for a ways.
Along the way there was some handiwork of a Pileated Woodpecker.
